Immune and biological properties. Normal vaginal flora consists of lactic acid bacteria that keep pathogenic bacteria under control. Maintaining this normal equilibrium is key to preventing vaginal infections. When infections occur, Fermalac® vaginal aids in restoring the vaginal flora by reintroducing lactic acid bacteria directly in the vaginal environment.
Effect of the preparation is determined by combination of two active ingredients:
Yogurt culture, which consists of Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus
- balances vagina ðÍ up to 5, and thus keeps pathogenic microorganisms under control;
- produces Í2Î2, which inhibits anaerobic bacteria, patogens of bacterial vaginosis;
- produces folic acid, required for growth of lactobacilli in vagina.
Lactobacillus rhamnosus
- has a unique ability to keep pathogenic bacteria under control, which provides optimal conditions for restoration of own normal vaginal microflora, local immunity.
Restoration and maintenance of normal vaginal microflora, required when general and local immunity weakening, during treatment with antibiotics, glucocorticoid hormones, cytostatics and immunosuppressants, and also during infectious and inflammatory diseases of reproductive organs, bacterial vaginosis.
Fermalac® vaginal can be used alone or in conjunction with other gynaecological treatments, as needed.
