Three Rivers Pharmaceuticals received approval for widening of indications for INFERGEN from the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The new indications allow INFERGEN to be given daily in combination with Ribavirin (RBV) not only as first line therapy , but also as a retreatment strategy to assist HCV patients. The INFERGEN indications increase is based on the results of the DIRECT trial published recently in Hepatology, June 2009. |
